Ted Mattison has been a professional actor, director and acting teacher for 30 years. He teaches at the Actor’s Studio of Orange County and Seydways Studios in Hollywood.

As a member of SAG-AFTRA, Ted has appeared as a principal actor in over 35 television shows and 90 commercials. Recent credits include: White House Plumbers, The Sterling Affairs, Loot, Veep, Dave, Bosch and American Horror Story Hotel.  He’s appeared in leading roles in scores of plays in Minneapolis and L.A. including: Noises Off, The Merchant of Venice, The Cherry Orchard and Closely Related Keys. He’s written, produced and directed dozens of plays including The Baby Dance, and his award-winning play, Recollect the Snow. He’s the founder of Ted’s Theatre Kitchen

Originally from Minneapolis, he received his B.A. from Oberlin College and his Master's degree in Education from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Ted believes that the primary goal for the actor is to expand their craft and become more fully realized artists. He approaches his work with a generous, encouraging and collaborative spirit that allows for risk-taking, rapid growth and greater confidence.
