Sydney Odermatt

Sydney is a Mexican-American actress from Anaheim, California. Her performing arts experience starts as a toddler in community ballet. At home, she created short films with her sisters on their home video camera. In Junior High, she sang in intermediate and advanced choir.

She found her permanent home in acting during high school and participated in theater for all four years where she played lead, supporting and ensemble characters for plays and musicals such as Flowers For Algernon and Spelling Bee. She has taken her technique to the next level with her training at the Actor’s Studio of Orange County.

Sydney received her Bachelor in Psychology from Cal State Long Beach. Her education helps her to connect to her characters and her scene partners through a better understanding of human behavior. This understanding is furthered through her work as a teacher with student students of all ages.

Sydney is certified in CPR, she taught herself ukulele and is doing the same with guitar and piano. She writes music and short films. For fun, she learned how to solve a Rubik’s cube and loves to bring it up whenever she can. She is constantly saying yes to new experiences and new learning whether it be acting, the performing arts or any other aspect of life.

Sydney finds herself in dramatic roles that explore relationship dynamics such as an older sister with a dark secret or a young professional who backstabbed her best friend at work. She is drawn to complex, morally gray characters.
