Heraldy Garcia-Barajas

Heraldy, a Mexican-American and proud Chicana from San Bernardino, as always has a love for acting. She grew up putting on plays in her living room to her 5 other family members. Her love for performance, whether in gymnastics, cheerleading or acting, has fueled her to pursue her dreams. So much so that she has spent the last 3 years building her craft in acting, diving deep into emotional roles. 

Her love for horror has led her to take on multiple roles involving well respected schools like San Diego State University, Colombia College Hollywood, Long Beach Community College, etc, that required deep roots of intenseness and trauma including films such as DogCrate, Dark Therapy and award winning film Los Malcriados which won Best horror short in the Indie Short Fest, IndieX Film Festival and San Diego Movie awards. Although portraying vulnerable characters has been her focus, she has also used her craft to portray characters deep in her Mexican Heritage. 

Being a Chicana empowers her characters to be strong and fierce, while still bringing her softness into the story. She strongly supports and encourages stories that showcase the struggles and triumphs of a Latina woman in today’s modern world, just like her films such as Los Malciados (San Diego State University) and A Better Life (California State University Northridge). Even though she pushes strong characters, she still is playful in her characters and tends to be the girl next door. 

Her young features allow her (TPY) to play characters younger than her, being the perfect coming of age character. Her soft charm and personality makes her lovable to the audience as well as the protagonist. Her kindness has won her Best Supporting Actress by the 2024 DreamMachine International Film Festival for her film, Unspoken, where she won the audience with her soft spoken touch. Heraldy is fun, joyful and filled with spirit  from the inside and out, ready to jump into any character a script throws at her.
