Georgia Maeshima

Georgia is a Chinese American actor who was born and raised in Tucson, AZ, before moving to Los Angeles. She didn’t immediately get into acting but spent 30+ years working in local government as an analyst and in management. Having recently retired, she is ensuring her children graduate from college, travelling to fun destinations (Italy, Hawaii, Mexico), and enjoying good food.

For the past three years, her passion has been attending and cultivating her talents at the Actor’s Studio of Orange County where she has taken classes such as Advanced Acting, Classical Text, Film Technique, and many more. During this time, she has evolved from someone who classified herself as an introvert to someone who can get angry (“Collected Stories”) in front of others or make them laugh (“The Odd Couple”). She has learned to analyze scripts, stay with the moment and recapture her lines, and find the moments in between the lines.

Georgia has had a supporting role in a New Media production of “Gold Digger Abandons Her Wedding,” an Industrial Shoot for an In-N-Out Training Video, and The Bard in the Yard production of “Never Trust a City Slicker.” As her journey continues, her life as a wife, mother, and professional working woman will add relatable and compelling layers to her portrayals. Her ideal roles are characters who are strong, independent, intelligent, and resourceful women, but she also has a dry, deadpan sense of humor, and enjoys the positive energy as the sweet and pleasant guardian.

“Ke Huy Quan said, “Dreams are something you have to believe in. I almost gave up on mine. To all of you out there, please keep your dreams alive.” After 40 years, Georgia is excited to be an actor and pursuing her dream.
