Every summer, ASoOC offers this empowering, fun, and career-catapulting course that sets our actors on a path toward creativity and success. Students will prepare their professional materials and create a polished performance in preparation for entering the industry.

  • (6-8): Crash Course on the Industry with Sonya Cooke
  • (8-9): Monologue assignment  with Sonya Cooke
  • Homework: work on monologue
• Tuesday: 8/25
  • 6-7:30: Headshot, Resume, Reel tutorial with Sonya Cooke
  • 7:30: Monologue preparation with Sonya Cooke
  • Homework: prepare resume, research headshot photographers, film monologue reel, due Friday at 10pm for Sonya
• Wednesday: 8/26
  • Audition Prep with Self Tape Assignment with Amber Friendly
    • How to interpret a breakdown
    • What to do with the text
    • How to film and submit a self-tape
  • Homework: submit self-tape by Friday 10am to Amber
• Thursday: 8/27
  • 6-9pm: How to work with Industry Reps workshop with a working Los Angeles casting director, manager, or agent
• Saturday: 8/29
  • 10-11:30: Self-Tape Critique with Amber Friendly
  • 11:30-1pm: Reel Critique and How to Self-Submit with Sonya Cooke
  • 1-2: Lunch break
  • 2-4: Improv for Commercial Auditions workshop with CD, Natalya Rahmann
  • 4-5: Completing the Actor's Package Wrap-Up with Sonya Cooke
